Summary: The FAA has granted the approval for Pilots to use iPads in all phases of flight. The first iPad-flights take off on Friday. In June the Allied Pilots Association noted that American Airlines (AA) conducted the first tests of iPads for all phases of flight. Summary: Tuesday's Cooknote was mostly a re-hash of WWDC with an evolutionary iPhone revision tossed in for good measure. Make no mistake about it, Siri saved the event from being a total bust.
